Zoey Anne Lenfert

Zoey Anne Lenfert was born during an emergency C-section on August 2, 2013 at 8:25 a.m.  She was breech and my amniotic fluid level was too low for her to flip on her own.  I had been in the hospital for 3 days on bed rest.  On August 2nd I woke up and found out I was in active labor, having mild contractions and was dilated to 5 cm.  They didn't want my water to break because of the fear that her cord would come out first and then she could get stuck, so off to OR I went.

Let me tell you, it was crazy, scary and unbelievable.  Within 1 hour of me telling them that I felt pressure and contractions, I was scrubbed and prepped.  I had/have an amazing OB and the staff at Clark Memorial Hospital were fabulous!  I was terrified, but yet calm.  Everyone (including my night nurse, who stayed over and scrubbed in to be with me during my c-section ... love Sarah!!) were so nice, explained everything, and were completely amazing!

My Mom had taken the day off to spend with me and entertain me at the hospital when they were moving me up to Labor and Delivery.  She got my Dad and even Nana Micki there at the hospital before Zoey made it.

Zoey Anne Lenfert was 6 lbs 8.8 ozs and 21 inches long.  She was 4 weeks early.  Enjoy our photos!  I have so many more that I truly love.

All pictures were taken by Carrie Hall.  She's amazing!

Big News

On December 21, 2012 a friend of mine (Kimberly) jokingly said take a pregnancy test.  I dare you.  Her's had just came up positive and she said she had a "feeling" about me.  I laughed and said "I'm not pregnant.  I'll humor you and take on tomorrow."

So bright and early December 22nd rolls around.  I get my little test, tested, waited the 3 minutes, then looked at Paul and said "Is this positive?"  He just looked at me, while holding Cora and said "Looks like it."

Uh who would have thought.  After everything we went through to get Cora, it was that simple.  So here's Cora with her big news for you:
